Our Story
Hey Winemaking Friends!
I'm Ms. Tonii..
As a creative, I was first curious about winemaking in 2010. I was like, hmmmm...I DIY EVERYTHING but how do you make THE WINE?!?!
Back then, I couldn't find any winemaking classes in Atlanta so after a little research I purchased a lil winemaking kit and went at it! My first batch of Chardonnay was a success and boy was I excited when I felt my first official buzz from wine made by me! Whew! You couldn't tell me NOTHING! I was a winemaker!
I was so excited that I quickly began making more varietals and teaching my friends how to make their own wine. Then with friends of friends wanting me to teach them how to make wine, my Home Winemaking Parties took off from there.
In 2015 Vino's Chick Co. was born and I got my first commercial space in 2016 to host DIY workshops, sell my curated winemaking kits and conduct virtual winemaking classes. But after my 21 year old son, Akeem, was robbed and murdered in 2017, it sucker punched the life out of me. I slowed down much but never quite quit. At some point, I rose out of the darkness and in 2022 I moved my studio to Dahlonega's wine country . The grand opening and ribbon cutting for The Winemaking Studio at Dahlonega (Dahlonega Winemaking Studio) was held on the anniversary of Akeem's death 10.14.22, only two days after my family and I were in court, as the murderers were finally sentenced.
Fast forward a bit, and in 2024 I strategically opened my second location in McDonough GA and third and fourth locations Downtown Macon and Downtown Lawrenceville in Summer of 2025.
Thank you to everyone who has thus far supported my dream of having winemaking studios producing AMAZING winemaking experiences, and retailing winemaking kits, supplies and ingredients.
I'm no wine expert, connoisseur nor snob. I couldn't tell you what wine to pair with what food because I simply pair wine with my throat. I haven't studied wine and couldn't tell you anything about grape growing regions, terrains, blah blah and etc.
I'm .just a wine loving gal turned winemaker who finds joy in sharing with others how they can too make delicious wine at home by using fresh or frozen fruit, juice or concentrate, roots and herbs that are easily accessible.

The Winemaking Experience
We are an immersive, hands-on winemaking experience designed to make the art of winemaking fun, social, and accessible for everyone. You'll be guided through the process of creating your own custom wine using premium fruit wine concentrates or herbal and botanicals, expert instruction, and a relaxed studio environment.
We’re here to demystify and shake the dust off traditional winemaking, as our mission is to make fruit wine approachable, social, and downright enjoyable—No pretension, no pressure—just amazing flavors, hands-on fun, and a chance to create something delicious.
Located in the heart of Downtown Lawrenceville, Downtown Macon, and near the Square in McDonough, The Winemaking Studio brings a boutique-style winemaking experience to Georgia’s most charming communities. Each studio reflects the local culture while maintaining a consistently warm, welcoming, and playful atmosphere.
We have various winemaking experiences scheduled throughout the weekends at our Downtown Macon, Downtown Lawrenceville and McDonough Studios (PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED)
We promote natural winemaking with little intervention, additives and chemicals.
